Momentos: Home of Fragrances (老家香)

An intimate, insider immersion into the city of my birth and adolescence. Hong Kong to me is more than just a city of skyscrapers and bustling streets. It’s a home of fragrances, from the dai pai dongs (food stalls) to the cha chan tengs (cafe diners). It’s the distinct herbaceous smells of local apothecaries. It’s the alleyways I used to weave in and out from. This is my origin story.
