Soul Capturer
It burns through the dark like a trapped flame,
a skull smiling with fire and ruin.
Empty eyes full of molten red,
orange licking at the edges of nothing,
pulling pieces of me in without asking.
No chains, no hands,
just that endless, hungry glow
that knows my name
and whispers it back in colors I can’t forget.
It doesn’t chase.
It waits.
And every time I look,
a little more of my soul
stays caught in the blaze.
Soul Capturer,
you don’t even have to try.
I keep walking closer anyway.
