On the way to my cousin's wedding in Idaho Falls, I stopped at a gas station for a restroom break and couldn't help but photograph this (seemingly abandoned) car and motel across the way. I remember this image taking several minutes to compose. I struggled fitting in the nose of the red truck and ladder on the right, along with the yellow flag on the left—while maintaining the proximity to the car that I wanted. But all of these details eventually fit in just right. To date, it's one of my favorite compositions.
