Somnifer is a real-time image editing tool built around an expressive clone-stamp logic. Autonomous agents and algorithmic brushes move through a noise-driven flow, sampling and redepositing image material. The process is painterly: images dissolve and re-form over time through layered interactions of chance and control. Outcomes emerge gradually from agent behavior, parameters, and source material. The artist acts as an instrumentalist: steering, interrupting, and shaping the process in real time. Somnifer is not a filter but a performative system where algorithm and intention meet.
