Forget-me-not
This piece is a story about memory and the continuous shedding of our former selves. The dress is woven from forget-me-nots—a direct symbol of the desire to preserve our living essence. The doll heads scattered on the street represent the empty shells and past incarnations of the self that we leave behind. The figure is performing a quiet ritual of cleaning up their own life, sweeping away the past to ensure they are not forgotten—demanding to matter exactly as they are, here and now.
Created as a digital artistic intervention on the inspiring street photography of Luis Carlos Ayala.
"Forget-me-not" was selected in the Calles Insolentes Open Call, hosted by One Love Art DAO and curated by Luis Carlos Ayala, to be exhibited at One Love Digital Gallery, The Gates South Beach (Miami, USA) and Gama Colombia (Bogotá, Colombia).
