Hope
For Those Who Still Should Have Been Laughing
Children
should never have to understand the meaning of bullets;
they should never search for their abandoned dolls
through smoke and ruins.
When the world loses a child,
it does not lose only a human being;
it buries a piece of its own future.
And yet, strangely…
even in the darkest nights of war,
hope survives quietly in the eyes of those same children
to whom the world showed no mercy.
As if the spirit of a child
is the last thing destruction can never truly erase.
The martyrdom of children
is not merely death
it is a mirror held before humanity,
asking how hearts so small
could carry so much pain
and still not forget how to smile.
And perhaps hope
is exactly this:
that after every ruin,
someone still prays for peace,
someone still plants flowers,
and a mother still believes
that one day,
the world will become a safe place
for children to laugh again...
