Among the samples collected at the Atacama base was an adult zombie shark. It was a corpse, or so we thought at first.
It turns out that the sample was alive, its cataleptic metabolism managed to fool us, along with a deplorable appearance.
This adult specimen was analyzed and studied in our laboratory, where interesting data came to light.
This species was adulterated in the Atacama facilities to avoid dying from natural causes such as aging. This was achieved by inoculating a modified virus with an appetite for ribosomal enzymes, taking advantage of the sharks' immune system, which is complex and does not appear to be affected by diseases that affect humans. Then, thanks to their slow metabolism, which together would achieve the action of blocking telomeres (which are responsible for shortening the DNA chain during aging)
The result an Immortal Chimera..
