Neomemecism
Piet Mondrian’s grids of vertical and horizontal lines, punctuated by blocks of red, blue, and yellow, epitomized Neoplasticism, the search for a universal order through pure abstraction. For Mondrian, painting was no longer representation but a model of harmony, distilling nature and existence into relations of balance and opposition. This radical reduction reflected the utopian spirit of De Stijl, where art, architecture, and design converged into a vision of cosmic equilibrium. His compositions became icons of purity: the promise of a rational, timeless world built on geometry.
