Pepe in a Circle
Wassily Kandinsky pioneered abstraction as a spiritual language, replacing representation with pure relationships of color and form. In Circles in a Circle (1923), concentric and overlapping circles become a cosmic order, geometry charged with metaphysical resonance. For Kandinsky, painting could act like music: a direct expression of the soul, beyond words, embodying both inner necessity and utopian harmony. His art reflects Theosophy, synesthesia, and the search for a universal visual language.
