Empires Eventually Bleed (Barclay's is Burning)
August 19, 1938 (part of the escalated phase of the 1936–1939 revolt) An armored vehicle was targeted and destroyed (blown up or burned) during clashes. Throughout the revolt, British security forces frequently used armored cars (such as Rolls-Royce and improvised Ford or Commer trucks) to escort bank payrolls, guard administration hubs, and patrol urban centers like Hebron, Jerusalem, and Nablus.
This occured during what was known as The Hebron Attack, which saw Palestinian rebel groups targeting infrastructure and British authority figures like gutting and burning Barclay's Bank, an Armored Police Car, a Post Office as well as placing mines on Hebron road to disruprt British Military convoys.
