Perched up in the Palos Verdes Hills is a vantage that stretches from the South Bay to LA where you can catch planes flying over the Los Angeles skyline en route to LAX. One a rare clear day right after a storm, the lower elevation peaks of the San Gabriel Mountains can catch a fresh dusting of snow. Telephoto compression makes it seem as if the city skyline is nestled up to the mountains when in reality they are over 15 miles apart.
