Command Chief Master Sergeant, 437th Airlift Wing, Joint Base Charleston
Chief Master Sergeant Charmaine N. Kelley is the Command Chief Master Sergeant for the 437th Airlift Wing, Joint Base Charleston. In her role, she is the principal advisor to the Wing Commander to utilize over 2,100 Air Force members to ensure the Wing’s combat readiness. Additionally, Chief Kelley serves as the Commander’s representative on base and civilian committees, councils, and boards charged with meeting quality of force and quality of life needs for the base populace.
In August 1996, Chief Kelley enlisted in the United States Air Force at Fort Jackson, immediately following her high school graduation. Her enlistment fulfilled a promise she made to her brother, Anthony, upon his untimely death while serving in the United States Navy. Among other certifications, she holds a Bachelor of Arts in Human Resource Management, a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, and Master of Science in Human Resource Management.
As a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc., an organization strongly dedicated to service, Chief Kelley believes in service to the community. She started a foundation for young ladies between the ages of 14-19 that helps them build a solid foundation for future successes.
