MY CHILDHOOD MEMORIES
"My Childhood Memories"
In the garden of memories, I take a stroll,
Where the laughter of youth once had control.
But time, relentless, has its own decree,
And the path to childhood, no longer to see.
Those days of innocence, like butterflies, flew,
In the meadows of dreams where the skies were blue.
The world was a canvas, our hearts pure and wild,
Now, the footprints of youth have faded and filed.
The playgrounds where we danced, the trees we'd climb,
Oh, how I wish to return, just one more time.
The days of wonder, the nights of sweet dreams,
Lost to the river, where time's current gleams.
In the looking glass, a reflection appears,
A face marked by wisdom, yet tinged with old fears.
But deep in my heart, the child's spirit remains,
Though the past can't be held, its memory sustains.
For in every day's dawn and twilight's embrace,
There's a trace of that child, a familiar face.
