IΡЅΞ.VIDΞT
The self sees.
The view is your own. The legs are your legs. The fall is yours. You see your feet against the walls of the corridor that contains the descent. The walls move past. The descent is structured by them.
Then the walls break.
In the moment between one wall and the next, the void below opens, and the void has a face. Two eyes, immense, looking up at the body that is falling toward them. The face is your own. The eyes are your eyes. The watcher below has been you the entire time.
The walls return. The face disappears. The fall continues. The loop begins again.
The previous four pieces of ΡΞЯΡΞTUΛL.FΛLL moved through positions inside the falling body. IΡЅΞ.VIDΞT closes the series by revealing what was implicit across all of them: the self that knows it will die and the self that cannot feel it are not one consciousness. They are two. The watcher and the faller. The eye and the body.
When you know you will die, you are the eye. When you do not feel you will die, you are the body. The gap between them is the entire collection.
The face below is the part of you that has always known. The legs falling are the part of you that has never been able to feel it. The walls are the ordinary structure of awareness that keeps the two from seeing each other. When the walls fail, they see each other for a moment, and the loop begins again.
You do not arrive. But you have always been the one watching yourself not arrive.
