My Third Leg Is Not A Myth

BLACK HIPPIES: An Imagined Archive What if somewhere, buried beneath history, existed photographs of a Black counterculture we were never shown? BLACK HIPPIES is an Afro-surrealist experiment in post-photography—a fictional archive of Black flower children, wanderers, lovers and impossible bodies inhabiting the visual mythology of the late 1960s. The photographs feel familiar. The people do not. Bodies stretch. Faces multiply. Hair becomes architecture. Lovers merge. Limbs proliferate. Human anatomy slowly abandons reality. Created through AI-generated imagery and digital post-photographic processes, each work occupies the uncertain territory between documentary evidence and fabricated memory. These are not photographs of what happened. They are photographs of what history might have dreamed.
