Prism Sentence
“Prism Sentence” speaks to the years when the artist believed the world had already decided what she could and couldn’t become. She was taught that identity would dictate experience, that opportunities were scarce, and that she would have to work twice as hard just to reach a baseline of joy. Those inherited stories shaped her expectations, her effort, and her sense of what was even possible.
This work marks the moment she began releasing those narratives — refusing to carry ceilings that were never hers. The warm tones and layered symbols reflect the shedding of old limits, while the spirals and open forms gesture toward the expansive landscape that emerges when she leads with her soul and her art instead of external labels.
“Prism Sentence” reminds the artist, and anyone who has ever felt confined by expectation, that perception shapes experience. When she stopped letting inherited identities define her, the world widened. Life began responding to her energy, not her labels.
