Perichoresis: Piercing Beholding

Here there is no prior merit in the beholder; there is only an irresistible grace that seizes the gaze from the dust and hurls it toward that which is infinitely exalted and fearfully near. What appears as our initiative, this piercing beholding, is in truth the inevitable response to a prior, sovereign, and unconquerable attraction. We are drawn because we were drawn; we contemplate only because we were first contemplated by the Eye that neither slumbers nor sleeps.
