After Mondrian — 999 Unique Editions A generative art collection created in p5.js that reinterprets Piet Mondrian’s Neoplasticism through algorithms. About the Project The system uses asymmetric recursive subdivision to build compositions that directly dialogue with Mondrian’s visual language. At each level, rectangles are divided horizontally or vertically with irregular split points (25% to 45%), generating organic and non-repetitive structures with a maximum depth of 9 levels. Each block receives one of 10 different internal pattern types, including: ● Checkerboards and modular variations ● Linear and radial gradients ● Perlin Noise-based patterns ● Sinusoidal waves ● Floating circles ● Hybrid combinations Technical Specifications ● Native Resolution: 4500 × 6000 px (3:4 ratio) ● 100 exclusive palettes with 10 colors each, randomly selected per piece ● Pattern density calibrated for high visual complexity ● Signature black lines with 10px thickness — essential to the neoplasticist aesthetic ● Recursive algorithm with stop conditions based on minimum size and maximum depth ● Heavy use of lerpColor(), noise(), trigonometric functions, and procedural positioning Collection Features ● 100% code-generated (on-chain metadata + fully procedural artwork) ● No manual intervention after initial setup ● All 999 pieces are unique ● High resolution designed for both large-scale digital display and fine art printing A algorithmic homage to the master of geometric abstraction, where order and randomness coexist in perfect tension. 999 Unique Editions • Generated in p5.js
