LET ME HAVE A DREAM No child should ever have to risk their life simply to protect the place they call home. We are not asking for the world to belong to us. We only wish to remain alive in the land where we were born, where our ancestors rest, and where our little dreams first began to grow. We want to go to school without fearing for our lives. We want to play without knowing the sound of explosions. We want to hold our mothers and fathers close without being haunted by the fear that tomorrow, they may no longer be there. Why must the land of our birth become the most terrifying place to grow up? Why must our childhood stand against machines of destruction, when our little hands should be holding books instead of being raised in a desperate struggle for survival?
