The ground cloth is woven from the block's own hash: it sets the threading, tie-up and treadling of an 8-shaft loom, so this pattern belongs to Block 0 and no other. The coin and the headline Satoshi embedded in the block, "The Times 03/Jan/2009 Chancellor on brink of second bailout for banks", are woven in as a brocade weft. Top and bottom, the hash as a punch card: all 256 bits. Woven on a simulated Jacquard loom, 160 × 240 threads.
