The storm moved through fast. I stayed in the field while the last of the rain fell somewhere I couldn't reach, hanging in the air, never touching the ground.
Then the light of sunset lit up the sky.
I've chased a lot of weather across the prairies. Most of it I never catch. This time I was in the right spot at the right time, standing in wet crop up to my knees, being an all you can eat buffet for the swarms of mosquitos.
