The world has been a persistent beating drum of noise, news, and nagging negativity, and then *click* you shut it off, suddenly, the landscape becomes strangely small and quiet. Glancing around where the only chaos that remains are the interrupted moments of daily living. Discarded remnants of unfinished activities and local creatures passing through the garden, seemingly oblivious to the burdens of the bigger world outside, a reminder that troubles on earth are not always a heavy weight you have to carry all the time. Life should have balance, and it has taken me many years to master the art of turning the signals off for a time to simply exist again as a simple human girl observing little ephemeral moments which could have passed me by, as an exercise of grounding myself back to earth and my own life in it. It is here in these moments of calm where I draw my inspiration, and love to treasure these small observations through art, as a practice of humble reflection and therapy. It is balance that resets my mind and spirit. In balance my creativity is a cup that becomes full.
