Somewhere Between Flowers and Dreams

When I first watched *Princess Mononoke*, the small, mysterious creatures that appeared throughout the forest immediately caught my attention. I was especially drawn to them, and they stayed in my mind long after I finished the film. Later, I learned that they were the **Kodama (木霊) — the spirits of the forest*. Something about their quiet presence and their connection to the forest stayed with me. Through them, I began to see forests and nature not simply as places around us, but as something alive, precious, and worthy of respect and protection. They inspired me to appreciate nature more deeply and made me want to do my part to care for and protect it. I began to imagine a world where I could live among the trees and flowers, surrounded by the spirits of the forest. If I could choose who I would be in that world, I think I would be a **guardian of the forest** — someone who listens to its spirits, protects its quiet places, and lives in harmony with nature. **Somewhere Between Flowers and Dreams** is a glimpse into that imagined world; a place where the boundaries between humans, nature, and forest spirits begin to disappear. A world that may exist only in dreams, but one that reminds me of the kind of connection I wish we could all have with nature — one built on **wonder, respect, and the desire to protect it. 🍄🌿✨
