Sanguine Static

The lack of life in the expression is a defense mechanism of the porcelain mask. To feel the full weight of the sanguine explosion occurring at the crown would be to shatter entirely; therefore, the eyes disconnect. They become glass apertures, cold and unblinking, serving only to host the residual static of a mind that has learned to survive by going numb. It is the visual representation of being "hollowed out" by one's own creation, leaving behind a beautiful, terrifying shell that no longer requires a soul to maintain its vigil.
