Overthinking
You tightly clutch the blueprints of your fears,
As if a map could ever hold the sea.
You drown the quiet breathing of the years
In questions of who you are supposed to be.
You dissect every shadow, every word,
And build a cage from things that never came.
But in your chest, an undiscovered bird
Is tired of forgetting its own name.
The sky is ready, vast and open-wide,
It doesnβt need your logic or your proof.
So step out of the hurricane inside,
And leave the shelter of your haunted roof.
Look at your hands. The soil is warm and deep.
The world is waiting, beautiful and plain.
You have so many promises to keepβ
Please, do not spend your whole life in your brain.
