In Absence Of___ is a series that did not come from research, theory, or precedent. It came from feeling. From holding opposite forces in the same body at once: sadness and hope, fracture and excitement. It came from being inside the unknown, and understanding that sometimes you do not need the full picture. "I want to leave space for whoever is looking at these works. A place to put their own absence inside it. Their own longing, loss, uncertainty, happiness, or becoming. I want to verbalize without over-analyzing and intellectualizing a feeling I think many of us are collectively experiencing together."
