You scroll and worry and check the chart then scroll again like maybe refreshing the page enough times will eventually bring you something reassuring. Then you feel a little guilty for worrying about your own small problems when someone out there is losing everything. Somehow knowing that doesn’t make my problems disappear. It just gives you one more thing to feel bad about. So you sit here for a while. There are messages you haven’t answered and a drawing you still want to finish. You’d like to have enough energy left for those. The fire is getting closer but the coffee is already here. This is fine.
