New Wineskin 2
“And no one after drinking old wine wants the new, for they say, ‘The old is better.’” — Luke 5:39 (NIV)
Leaving an old habit behind is one of the toughest decisions you can make. An old habit feels comfortable, brings pleasure, and can even offer a false sense of security.
The sad reality is that we often recognize how these habits hinder us from becoming who we truly want to be or reaching where we want to go. Yet, the decision and commitment required to go through the process of change remain the real challenge.
This brings us to a moment of decision: Do you want to remain where you are, or do you want to move forward? How badly do you truly desire what you say you want?
If it isn't that important to you, you will stay as you are. But if it is, you must make the hard choice and pursue your goal without looking back.
Remember Luke 9:62: “No one who puts his hand to the plow and looks back is fit for the kingdom of God.”
What old habit is holding you back from achieving your true potential? Reflect on it and make the right decision today.
