The short version In 2027 I'm painting ten oils as five diptychs, one pair for every drop. There are five drops: the first week of January, then one at the end of each season, in March, June, September and December. Three ways in. SATELLITE (50 only, 0.05 ETH) gets a digital work from every drop and a 1 in 50 draw for an original oil from each drop. Who is Rocketgirl? I'm Rach. I grew up in Northern Ireland and paint in my studio in Edinburgh. Most people online know my digital work: the animated pieces, the glitched loops, the women with flashes through their closed eyes. But oil paint is where all of it starts. My one true love and a practice I've continued for 25 years. I would like to spend next year more focused on creating my best work and have the marketing already done via this innovative drop. Each pair moves with the rhythm of its season, and each season has a clear theme of its own. Those themes won't all be set in advance. I'll take inspiration from the group chat as the year goes on, so the conversations we have will find their way onto the canvas. Expect my signature style: the figures, the bone-white skin, the eye flash, the wild abstraction. And expect one season of pure abstract work, where I let the figure go completely and follow the paint. I will be going all-in on perfecting my craft next year and I cannot wait to show you what is possible. A year planned around the canvas means I can take on bigger work, go slower where it matters, and not have to sell each piece to fund the next one. I also want collectors to be part of how the work gets made, not just where it ends up. I have a large project dropping next spring that I've worked on for the past 3 years and all holders will get whitelisted to that also, along with some extras which I will reveal through the year. Final thoughts Ten paintings in a year is a lot of canvas. I'm asking you to back work that doesn't exist yet, and I don't take that lightly. What I can promise is that you'll watch every one of them happen, and that the best of what I paint in 2027 will be in this.
