Sacred Mountains
Mount Kailash
Mount Kailash is more than a mountain, it's a spiritual compass at the heart of Asia.
Rising in stark solitude from the remote Tibetan Plateau, its near-perfect, pyramid-like shape has never been summited, not out of impossibility, but out of reverence. To Hindus, it's the abode of Shiva; to Buddhists, the axis of the universe; to Jains, the site of liberation; and to Bon followers, a divine power center. Encircled by the sacred pilgrimage path, the kora, every step becomes a prayer, every breath a meditation.
Here, the physical meets the metaphysical, where snow meets sky, and faith touches eternity.
