It Was Always There

It Was Always There is a collection of six original, one-of-one fine-art photographs exploring recognition, perception, and the life that exists within the natural world. We often look at nature and recognize its individual elements without noticing what is happening between them. A cactus becomes another cactus. Trees become a forest. Water becomes a stream. Familiarity allows us to identify what we see without necessarily understanding what we are witnessing. But when the familiar becomes obscured, our perspective begins to change. Through fog, darkness, snow, shadow, and fading light, these photographs invite us to look beyond the landscape itself and recognize something more. A cactus standing watch. Trees gathered like a family. Water and forest engaged in an ongoing exchange. Light and fog holding something between them. These are not relationships created by the photographs. They are interpretations of a living world that continues to exist, interact, and evolve whether we notice it or not. Each photograph represents an encounter with that world and an invitation to reconsider how we see it. Nature is more than scenery. Sometimes, we simply need to look long enough to recognize what has been there all along. It was always there. — Adam Carity ---------------------- PHYSICAL COLLECTOR BENEFIT A winning auction bid of 0.25 ETH or higher unlocks a signed and numbered fine-art print of the purchased artwork.
