The Watching Forest
The Watching Forest is a surreal exploration of awareness, presence, and the illusion of solitude. Across the collection, forests are not passive landscapes they are conscious entities. Trees bear expressions, animals act as silent witnesses, and the environment itself becomes an observer.
A recurring lone traveler moves through these spaces, symbolizing the human experience of navigating the unknown while being constantly seen by nature, by memory, or by something beyond comprehension.
The red tones, particularly the moon and cloak, act as a thread of identity and intrusion marking the figure as both part of the world and separate from it. Each piece represents a different stage of passage: entry, awareness, confrontation, and transformation.
