The First Corruption begins at the precise moment when the handmade object can no longer remain only itself. Its physical form survives, but its boundaries have become unstable. The pressure of the hand, the vulnerability of the material and the imperfections of the original sculpture are translated into digital fracture and luminous disturbance. This is the first threshold of Corrupt Idols. Corruption here is not decay, but the birth of a second body. Matter loses its certainty and becomes image, signal and presence.
