Blue Static
There was a hum in the air that evening, the kind you feel before you hear it.
I stood where the bare tree keeps its watch, and the blue came in close, closer than light is supposed to get.
It caught in my skin like static does, before a storm, before you know what's coming.
Part of the Skerry series. Old water, old ghosts, back to the fish, the cold light, and the shoreline that started it all.
