They didn’t notice at first when the ground beneath them began to bend. What looked like a simple tiled floor stretched on in every direction, neat and predictable, until it suddenly curved downward, folding into vast funnels that pulled the world into impossible shapes.
The air felt heavy here, as if the patterns themselves were alive, tugging and twisting with a rhythm that had no end. Each square was familiar... Just a piece of a grid... Yet together they became something overwhelming, something infinite.
Far ahead, a single figure stood at the edge of one of the great curves. They seemed impossibly small against the woven expanse, a thread caught inside a loom too vast to comprehend. Was this a path, a trap, or simply the fabric of the universe, revealed at last?
