A 28 × 28 field of dots in 49 quadrants, filled and hollow like a checkerboard, swings through half a turn and back. Odd and even quadrants swell in opposite phase: as one side breathes in, its neighbours breathe out. Small sparks bloom between the dots and vanish, so the squares you see are never drawn, only implied.
