Often when tarot cards are involved in any movies, a character will pull out the Death card with ominous music. But in reality the Death card doesn’t necessarily mean anything bad. When it has come up for me, it’s often meant new beginnings and growing out of old patterns. It’s about the end of a cycle and transformations. Caterpillars go into a cocoon and dissolve entirely before becoming moths and butterflies. They are the best representatives for what this card means: endings and beginnings. I chose the Death’s-Head Hawkmoth because it seemed appropriate and because I love The Silence of the Lambs poster. The new moon in the background also represents the end of a cycle.
