Brushed Wild Editions
The Stillwater Wanderer
He stands at the lake’s quiet edge as summer morning gathers,
the air warm and sweet with the scent of water and pine.
Light drifts through the meadow in soft ribbons,
touching his antlers in the morning dew.
The world is unhurried in this early hour.
Dragonflies slip through the stillness,
and distant birds call from the tree line.
He steps through the grass with a calm that belongs only to wild things,
each movement steady and assured.
The lake lies peaceful beside him,
a pool of morning light where lilies rest, and insects hum.
He pauses in the silence, listening to the small sounds of the day beginning,
as if the land itself is waking in his presence.
In this gentle moment, he is simply a wanderer of summer fields,
a quiet spirit moving through warm earth and brightened air,
a reminder of how soft the wild can be
when the day is just beginning to bloom.
