This work echoes a real crime that took place in Kazakhstan in 2025, where a man tied his wife to a horse and dragged her across the steppe in front of their two-year-old child. The injuries she received during this torture were not compatible with life. The red horse stands as a symbol of that cruelty, a reminder that such violence is not a story from the past but something happening now. Domestic violence remains widespread, especially in regions where gender inequality teaches offenders to see control and punishment as their right. And while antifeminist voices keep growing louder, many forget that the issue goes far beyond debates about tradition. In many countries, there is still no law that can protect a person from the danger inside their own home. This piece calls for awareness. Pay attention to yourself and the people around you. Sometimes vigilance is the only thing that can save a life. ___ Art is hand-drawn in Procreaate jpg.4800 x 4800 px, 300 dpi
