I wanted to capture something that goes beyond our physical presence. Two figures, one red and one blue, standing in the middle of an endless field of fragments, surrounded by what feels like the remains of something that once existed.
To me, We Were Here is about existence, memory, and the traces we leave behind. We spend our lives building things, connecting with people, creating art, and trying to make sense of our time here. Eventually, everything becomes a memory, a fragment, a small piece of a much bigger picture.
But maybe thatβs the beauty of it. Even when everything else fades away, something remains. A feeling, a moment, a connection, a piece of ourselves that continues to exist in someone elseβs world.
The red and blue figures represent two different presences sharing the same space, reminding us that even in a world that often feels fragmented, we are never completely alone.
I donβt want to tell you exactly what to see in this piece. Iβd rather let you find your own meaning in it.
Maybe itβs about the past. Maybe itβs about the people who came before us. Maybe itβs simply a reminder that, for a brief moment in this enormous universe, we were here.
