The Day the World Broke
There are losses that hurt, and then there are losses that shatter everything you ever believed the world was supposed to be.
Losing a child is one of them.
There is something profoundly unnatural about a parent having to stand beside a grave that should never have existed, looking down at a life that ended before it had the chance to fully unfold. A future that will never happen. Milestones that will never be celebrated. Laughter that will never again fill a room. A thousand little moments that will now only ever exist in memories, photographs, and the aching silence left behind.
And somewhere in that moment, the world keeps turning.
The stars still shine. The universe carries on as if nothing has happened. But for the father standing at that grave, nothing will ever be the same again.
