This work draws upon the Biblical story of Noah's Ark to explore the isolation and internal struggles faced by LGBTQ+ individuals. It subverts the traditional narrative, reinterpreting it as a powerful metaphor for exile and the search for acceptance.
At the heart of the piece is the figure of a lone man, adrift in an inflatable raft. This isn't a vessel of salvation, but a symbol of precarity and vulnerability. The raft becomes a makeshift ark, highlighting the lack of solid ground and the constant struggle for survival in a society that can feel unwelcoming.
