In Mirrored Devil, the characters appear in pairs, facing each other as if each one were looking at its own reflection. They repeat the same movements, but the image keeps changing, becoming more unstable and disturbing until they are surrounded by fire. For me, the devil in this animation is not an outside presence. It is the part of ourselves that we recognize in the other but do not always want to see. This piece is part of They Live, a collection in which I bring characters from my paintings to life. It was animated by hand, without AI.
