Rolling down, down, down
In Falling Down, Down, Down, a character falls through a series of strange and constantly shifting spaces. He has no control over where he is going and nothing to hold on to. The fall seems endless: the surroundings change, his body turns and multiplies, but he continues going down.
This animation is part of They Live, a collection in which I take characters from my paintings and imagine what happens when they begin to move. Here, coming to life does not mean becoming free. It means being trapped in an endless fall. The animation was created by hand, without AI.
