East From Eden

My arrogance expelled me from paradise, yet your humility planted the entire paradise within my chest. I long to return, and constantly strive to contemplate You. In the ineffable abstraction of what is imperceptible to the human being. East of Eden, we also sow and build. The garden was never a place of rest. Give me the fury of the storm, and pain of thought and action, rather than the inert stillness of ignorance and blind faith. Let my rebellion bite the forbidden fruit.
