A Laugh You Cant Trust
The glass fogs with their breath,
Shards of winter trying to bite through,
But inside it’s warm—
And something too sharp to hold.
A smirk curls,
Polished smiles on borrowed time,
Laughter breaking the silence—
Or hiding behind it.
They steer through streets of ice,
Words unsaid humming louder than the engine,
While the windshield whispers back:
Everything melts eventually.
