Claus Paradox
Red velvet and cracked glass,
A sleigh without reins,
Lost somewhere between
The North Pole and oblivion.
The lights don’t blink anymore—
Just a hum,
An electric drone,
As he grips the wheel tighter
And forgets where the road goes.
The chimney’s gone cold,
The cookies stale.
Only shadows follow him now,
Smudged and faceless
Against the frostbitten windshield.
