Couple in a Silent Frame
The glass fogs, but nothing warms,
Her breath caught in the steering wheel's curve,
While his bowtie sits askew—
A failed symmetry, half remembered.
The silence hums louder than the road,
Windows smeared with faint reflections,
Their eyes stare past each other,
As if they’ve both forgotten the exit.
Outside, the sky waits, pale and still,
As two shadows sit motionless,
Tangled in the unraveling thread
Of where they were going.
