Festive Loner
A man sits where silence swells,
A back alley hymn of peeling paint and rusted steel.
The cars, mute witnesses—
Their engines long gone cold.
Fingers twitch in empty air,
Grasping for something that was never there.
Neon hums through a cracked window,
A faint reminder:
Life once moved here.
But now,
It waits.
And so does he.
