Lost Soul
The windows blur like distant promises,
Neon and smoke stitched in crooked seams.
He turns halfway, unspoken and still—
Eyes dipped in shadow,
The road a long sigh beneath the tires.
Outside, the skyline sinks,
Steel and red mist folding into glass.
Inside, a heartbeat slower now,
Hands trace the wheel as if to feel it breathe.
Silence becomes the loudest sound.
The night stretches on—
Endless. Relentless. Familiar.
